• Spring Cleaning Make and Take - Essential Oils workshop

When we buy commercial cleaning products, we expect them to do one thing: clean! We use a wide array of scents, soaps, detergents, bleaching agents, softeners, scourers, polishes, and specialized cleaners for bathrooms, glass, drains, and ovens to keep our homes sparkling and sweet-smelling. But while the chemicals in cleaners foam, bleach, and disinfect to make our dishes, bathtubs and countertops gleaming and germ-free, many also contribute to indoor air pollution, are poisonous if ingested, and can be harmful if inhaled or touched. In fact, some cleaners are among the most toxic products found in the home. In 2018, Norwegian researchers released a first-of-its-kind study linking long-term exposure to cleaning products to significant lung damage-comparing it to second hand smoke!  Dozens of other studies link common home cleaning products to asthma, immune system dysfunction, autoimmune diseases, cancer and other ills.

Cleaning ingredients vary in the type of health hazard they pose. Some cause acute, or immediate, hazards such as skin or respiratory irritation, watery eyes, eczema, or chemical burns, while others are associated with chronic, or long-term, effects such as asthma, autoimmune disorders or even cancer- Bottom Line? We can do better for our families and it's not even that hard!

Join Laura and Jamie of Undiluted.LIFE as they help us understand what is safe and what should be avoided when it comes to cleaning our homes.

We will Make & Take home some very useful products that will help to rid our homes of toxic chemicals. Each person will receive homemade soft scrub, an all purpose cleaner and toilet bowl fizzies. All products will be made by you with safe ingredients and therapeutic grade essential oils.
